In class I watched a documentary on a man named James Nachtwey. James was a photographer for the soldiers who were at War, he also photographed people around the world and wanted to show how poverty is very common and that we need to do something to stop it. James didn't only do this because it was his job he also did it because he wanted people to know what is going on in the world. In some places he took pictures of soldiers during war and in other places he showed all the poverty going on in the world. During many War's James saw people who were badly injured and very weak, he wanted to be able to help them and give them a hand ;he could not do so unless he told to. James got ill many times but he did not let that stop him from doing his job. He was very committed and wanted to help the people who were struggling.

Watching the move the "BLind Side" i hav realized that Micheal Oher has nver expierenced what a real family is like he has been alone most of his life and had no one to rely on. later on in the movie after the Tuohy's invited him into their family he begane to expirence what life is like when you have a famly. his new family got him a truck a bedoom and loving support, all the things that he never had before. Micheal was not the smartest but after his family helpped him he began to get great eduction and he got excepted into the college of his dreams. Micheal strived till the end and did whatever in his power to make his new family proud and happy. Micheal didnt let anythinng come in his way and made sure that he changed his lfe now that he has a chance. The picture to the right is a family picture they took in the movie.  

The picture onthe left is a picture of the real Micheal Oher and he took this picture with his family during christams time. micheal is now very happy and very blessed with all the love and care he is getting with his new family.   

In the movie "V for Vendetta" the key points are personal freedom or government control and human rights. In the movie V was very discusted of how the government was treating the people of their country. V had a plan to destroy the parlament. because of how they were treating everyone..

In the movie many of the people were not able to express their religion and beliefs. for example in the movie Muslims were not alowed to pray and follow their religion. Personally i would know how it feels because I am also a muslim myself and i would hate it if i was not able to follow my religion. This example leads back to human rights. No matter what your religion or culture you should be able to express yourself however you like and this movie is stating that point. It was quoted in the movie that "People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people" this tells us that no matter what the governemnt is doing you should always stand up for your belifies. V wanted to blow up the building because he used it as a symbol and he belived that him blowing up the buliding could change the world. In the movie the people of London are having a very difficult time with their freedom and V is trying to help them.The movie is not showing the present it is showing how our future might end up looking like if we do not stand up to our governments.

October 3rd my class and I went to the old tannery building in Downtown Kitchener. It has been remade to a many things like Google, Communitech, Vilocity, Rim etc. We went down there and we had a tour of the whole buidling. It was really facinating.  

The most interesting of all the places we saw was Google. They made sure their work place was very relaxing and they made sure that all of the emplopyees felt at home when the are working. We also saw university students from Waterloo working on a new project in the Vilocity Garage. It was a very amazing experience.
