What is the Issue?
Women in Kandahar Afghanistan have barely any rights or freedom. because it is more of a rural area the women can not get a proper education. They are also not allowed to drive or get a proper job to make a living out of. The women who don't have Males in the house to get a job and get money for them have to create a small business inside their homes. Some businesses would be sewing, knitting etc. The women also have to wear a full body covering called a Burqa. The Burqa covers them from head to toe....literally. In the olden times if the Women would not wear a Burqa the Taliban would beat them (The Taliban are a government who are known for the horrible way they treated women). Now a days if women dose not wear a Buqra they will be looked at very differently and everyone (a.k.a most of the men) who would see them would judge them. The women usually don't go out with friends they only go out with their family members.

Personal Opinion
I am from Kandahar Afghanistan and I personally am against the lack of freedom the women get there. I was born in Toronto and I have NEVER been to Afghanistan because of the horrible conditions. My parents on the other hand have been there a couple of times and have experienced all the horrible things that go on. Most of the knowledge i have about Afghanistan is from my parents experience their. i strongly believe that the women in Afghanistan deserve to have the freedom that a lot of other women have around the world. They should be able to express themselves however they want and shouldn't be judged about.
